Students support funding for higher education and U of I
As of the end of February, the state owes the University of Illinois $372 million (we have only received 49.6% of our appropriation)! The University has already issued mandatory furlough days for faculty and staff and has instituted a hiring freeze. Without these promised funds from the state, academic quality is at risk.
To write an email to your state representative and senator, click on "Take Action." If you are from Illinois, enter your permanent/parents address to contact your hometown legislators. If you are from out of state, please use your campus address.
You can send a form letter or refer to the speaking points provided on the next screen if you would like tips on writing your email. Thank you!
**Students please use your non-University issued email account if you have one**
